My POV!

Was watching 'Mere yaar ki shaadi hai' on Max yesterday, at this time.
I guess I was in 8th grade when the movie came out and since then each time it's been on TV and I've had the knowledge of it, I've seen it. In short, I love the movie!

YashRaj Movies are always worth watching... even if the script sucks, the locations and the cinematography wins you over!

Anyway so,
'Ek ladka aur ladki kabhi dost nai ho sakte...' , a discussion that goes on between Riya and Sanjay in the very start of the movie.
Hmmm... I guess everyone would've had this discussion with a friend, at least once.
As much as I hate to admit, the statement is not completely false!
Why?
I don't know... May be because everyone is so keen on looking for love every where that they even start considering their best friends.
Perhaps I'm wrong but it's just a personal observation.
Actually, it's the movies that are more culpable here, I mean for eg.,
'Made of honor', 'Ek main aur ek tu', 'Sky high', 'My best friend's wedding', 'Some kind of wonderful', etc etc etc.
All of them promote the subject of best friends falling in love.
Okay so, is it a thumb rule that if you have a best friend from the opposite sex (and otherwise in case of homosexuals) and that friend understands you well, you are in frequent touch with that friend and you like the company... you have to date that friend?!
All of this is too subjective and situational.
Actually, the society since the very beginning has always accepted a boy either as a brother or as a husband to a girl. Though the people have become open-minded about the 'friendship' aspect between a boy and a girl, with time but still some remnants of ancient orthodoxical and narrow-minded beliefs haven't vacated the human minds yet!

And, the struggle is still on...

Listening to Lost by Coldplay... Love it!

Basshunter- First time I heard the song was few days before the Taj-terror attack and each time I listen to the song, those visuals of terrorists firing at CST, Grenade explosions from the hotel windows and the blood shed, start running in my head and I get the cold-creeps! I can never forget those 3 terror-filled days, that attack had a huge impact on all the Mumbaikars, I guess... I vividly remember everything that happened in those 3 days. Still get tears in my eyes reminiscing that time.
And, that Goddamn Kasab is still breathing the Indian air!! I mean, I respect the Indian law and order and also the fact that everyone is given an opportunity to be heard and defend themselves here but for heaven's sake, we know he is the culprit, he had ghastly and malicious intentions and also had killed many innocent lives so why the wait?!
Then I think, perhaps this serves him better... let him plead for his life, let him live in the fear of death, let him be all restless and anxious as to what and when will the court decide for him and then finally after all the mental torture, he should be sentenced to death!
All in all, I want him dead, sooner or later!!

INHUMANE

She was a free will
Living her imperfect life in her own little ways
With a face that never failed to sport a smile
Her expressive eyes always filled with umpteen dreams to chase

An optimist who never hoped of anything ugly
She could've never guessed what the fate had conjured up for her
But there came a day which couldn't have been more murky
Her life took a turn which no man could ever decipher

She was lost in her own little world, ambling her way home
Two demons with humanly masks and attire
Appeared out of nowhere and caught her when she was alone
And her innocence was shredded in fire

Their grip was rigidly firm to her dismay
Their touch was sharper than the incisiveness of hundred knives
She was trying so hard to fight them, to push them away
But all her efforts weren’t enough to match the strength of those two evil lives

They thrashed her, slapped her and ripped off her guise
She tried to shove them off but there was no way she could’ve escaped
She cried, yelled and howled in disgrace, dolor and despise
Yet there came not a single soul to her help… she was raped

Destiny took away all her colors and her smile, left her with darkness to accompany
There she was abandoned in the middle of nowhere with a naked body and a nude heart
All she could feel was a sharp twinge of abashment, woe and melancholy
With a twinge that would last all her life; she fell prey to the devil’s dart

[Rape is an Incorrigible offence. My heart goes out to every such girl, every such woman, who has been a victim to this ghastly human act.]

Happily imperfect!

Belated Happy Holi Bloggy-doggy!! :*
Dil toh pagal hai- the movie, the songs - :) :) :)

Finally, catching up. A little relieved. Though I still have a long long way to go but at least I've begun. :)

Perfection. What is that?! Does it really exist? Well, who cares... I am happily imperfect!!

Trekking: Fun...
Trek-tan: Annoying!
Friends: Necessity

The joy of buying a new skirt can be actually felt only when you have someone who'll be as excited as you about it!
To the two of you: We'll always be the 'awesome threesome' we are. Love you both! The best thing about the three of us is we all truly enjoy and value the bond we share. Who says two is company, three is crowd?!
I don't hope, I know this bond is gonna stay unbiased and intact forever!!

I've been having too much of cocoa these days! It's yumm!
Missing someone you never had in your life but still is a part of your life.
When you listen to someone talking about themself and you realize how their little habits and way of thinking are similar to yours. You know, all of us are so similar in some way or the other.

When you feel like going back in time, taking up the opportunity that you'd turned down then, just so that you know what it would be like if you had chosen things to be otherwise.
Times when you willingly allow certain people to walk out of your life... and when you finally quit doubting your decision about it or rather you just learn to accept it. Because there'll always be what-if's, whether whatever you choose... because there'll be this other thing that you did not select. And, you always have to choose, in fact your destiny is based on what you choose. At least I believe so. You invariably have two ways to go about it, be it anything, Mr God has his book of fate well-written for both your ways, if you choose the first way, your destiny is based on that and if you choose the other way, you destiny will be based on that! So basically, most of the times it's OUR choice and the rest is up to the destiny!

Love: Utterly Beautiful
But, Love at first sight : BS!!

Expectations can be scary at times.

The entire world has become a victim to the atrocious mosquitoes!! Every person I talk to, whines about being mosquito-stricken! I am finding it eminently arduous to find a cure for this! I mean... my house is clean, windows are shut, Ac's on, mosquito coil and liquid mosquito destroyer together working in this room and still they are eating me up!! We actually have those mosquito killing electric rackets at my place! I feel like I am living in some amazon forest! Sick! Mr God please, please, don't make us pay for our bad karma like this!

Love aaj kal- One Bolly movie that portrayed true love, I believe! I like it!
I simply love Maroon 5. Listening to 'Won't go home without you'...

Thoughtless.
Wasted a lot of time. Have to study!!
Ciao!

Mix

"Waiting for tonight" by JLo = old memories!

I never ever like my photographs!! I don't think I ever will!! :l :/
I don't mind getting clicked. I never bother to check how I look in the snaps because the pictures are MINE only so how does it make a difference! But... I loathe them! Can't help it!

My friend who got married, her wedding snaps were out on FB yesterday... Although I hated all my clicks but still the memories each one of those pictures carries are priceless!!
Sigh... Where does the time fly?!
I am feeling overly reminiscent, at the moment!

I just found a very old playlist in my PC... :) :)
Angry birds- I love!
All Taylor Swift songs sound just the same to me!!

Sometimes you wish to eject a few people out of your life, even though they are important and valuable. Because, excess of everything, be it good or bad, is always bad...

Boredom- One common feeling (I won't term it as an emotion because I find it inappropriate), which every one feels too frequently! It's a very funny feeling. As a matter of fact, it's the only feeling, no would want anyone to understand or you know, empathize with...
So if this word never existed, is it possible the feeling also wouldn't have existed?! Perhaps...

Anyway so,
Everyday I read at least 1 rape case in the newspapers. They say only 15-20% of the cases are actually registered with the police and still we (India) rank amongst the top-most countries, where rapes are most prevalent! It gives me chills to read them or watch them on news! Rapists are as repugnant as the terrorists... They can never imagine what it can do to the victim! I wish each one of the rapists that exists on this globe anywhere, gets punished  and agonized so hard and so ugly that they would pray for their death but Mr God would not let them die; He would keep them alive and as miserable as a human being can ever bear to be, in fact more forlorn than that!! Rape is an incorrigible offence!

(Papa...Belated Happy birthday! You will always be my SUPERHERO!)

Dedicated to: Respectable Mr Anna Hazare

74 years old Anna Hazare is been in Jail for 8 straight days now, without having a morsel! I guess for the first time, I've seen public rallies, awareness and support campaigns and candle marches happening, NOT on account of a terrorist attack or an innocent victim's elongated murder court case! I mean, usually, as per the recent past record,  the masses would react so vigorously only on loss of life or lives. Now, people finally realize that social evils like corruption act as slow poison and it's killing a huge part of the populace simultaneously.

Though, I personally have done nothing to support this movement except for promoting this ideology, I hope this movement helps to clean our country a bit at least! Had it not been for this old man's initiative and gallantry, we would have never gone this far too! He has brought in a revolution and a hope for the better future of this country. I salute him and his courage!

There are still many people criticizing him but I fail to understand, how can they not see that he was the only one who stood up, spoke and took actions against corruption while we sat at home, cribbing about our country being in corrupted hands and doing nothing whatsoever!!

13th July 2011, Wednesday, Mumbai- Is there a solution??

Yet another manifestation of terrorism transpired in Mumbai. Three high intensity bomb blasts at Opera House, Dadar (Kabutarkhana) and Zaveri Bazaar between 6:30PM and 7:00PM. 19 dead and 130 severely injured as per the official figures, which we know is always understated. Is there any answer to terrorism? If not then will we ever find one in the future? After the attack, people started blaming the police, the politicians, national security, etc. They might be at fault but blaming them has never helped, I don't know what are we as individuals supposed to do except for talking about this issue, discussing it and expressing disconsolation!

When the colossal 1993 blasts took place, outraged Indians blamed the government and all those who were in authority, it's 2011 now and the chapter of accidents has still not reached its climax! Our anger, helplessness, peace marches, pleas, cries, woes, nothing affected terrorism, it is still destroying us and neither did it affect the people in authority, they are still inefficient at their work and see what their inefficiency can do to us! Whoever wants to run the country is mesmerized and awestruck by the power such positions give but they forget that 'with great power comes great responsibility'. Terrorism is THE MAJOR CHALLENGE that our globe (& not just our city or country) is facing and if the higher authorities and officials (all over the world) are unable to tackle that then what is the point in giving them the power?! We elect them because we think they are capable of managing all the big things that we as individuals cannot.
I am feeling helpless typing this blogpost as this (and the peace march, discussions, etc...) is all that I can do for my Mumbai.

May you NEVER rest in peace!

Osama Bin Laden was shot dead on 2nd of May 2011. I am sure this day will be celebrated by many every year. He got shot in the head (a start off point to all his disgusting and ghastly terrorist thinking & activities). Thank God!!
Well, 1 down and 99999(approx) more to go.
He used to say that he does everything for his people and Allah and considered himself to be very knowledgeable about Islam, stupid fellow, people who think they are wise and always right are the ones who are obtuse, thickheaded and always wrong!!
I just read an article claiming that this is a false alarm, he may be alive but skeptics are always there to comment on every issue and this being a huge one such comments and stories are bound to come. I would still like to believe that he is dead.
After taking so so so many lives, hell would be like a heaven to him so Mr. God if there is any other nastiest place than hell, I sincerely request you to transport his soul there!

Man, truly a social animal

It’s funny how people need people for everything. If someone dies people need people to mourn with, if someone gets a promotion they need people to celebrate with! Apparently, world had initiated with two people accompanying each other, Adam and Eve. Actually, it’s not just us humans, its common amidst the animals too. Every one of God’s creation craves for companionship.

Sometimes or rather most of the times we do not realize how much we want people around us, to hear us, to talk to us, to love us, to debate with us and so forth. Humans start socializing as soon as they gain senses after the birth. Our life is all around and about people.

Sometimes we get so much involved with the people around us that we forget our goals and our aspirations. As a fact our goals and aspirations are formed because of the people. When a child is born, he comes with no knowledge about anything in this world. As he grows he sees and gets influenced by the persons around him and by the persons he reads or hears about and then he wants to be like them. That’s how all human beings work.

Still there exists terrorism that is all about killing people and reducing the number of persons whom we or any one of us needs or would need! As easy as it is to talk or write about this issue, working towards its reduction is equally difficult. I don’t know why but I just felt like writing about it all of a sudden. I just hope and expect of myself to help at least a tinny minny bit towards this issue in any possible way and I pretty much think that I will somehow, by writing maybe…

How the fairer sex is still ill-treated in India...

A friend of mine just told me about an incident and trust me, it is a shameful blotch on India because it has happened here, okay here it goes, a lady lost her 22year old daughter in 2007. This daughter had an insurance policy, for which she used to regularly pay the premium. After she died, the lady that is her mother who is already in a state of grief, goes to the insurance company to collect the money. The company refuses to give the full claim and when she asks for a reason they say, ' SINCE SHE WAS A GIRL, SHE WAS A LIABILITY. HAD SHE BEEN A BOY, WE WOULD HAVE GIVEN YOU THE FULL CLAIM, SO NOW WE WONT GIVE YOU THE ENTIRE CLAIM'.

How sick and disgusting can someone get! I was shocked when i heard this. We all proudly say that India now has gender equality, well is this the"gender equality" that we have learnt in our books and that the world talks about? i don't think so!

Now, is this how much an insurance company should or can fall to make profit? That female had paid the entire premium, this is unfair...and the sad thing is we can just talk about it and do nothing! the only good thing in this entire scene was when the mother smacked that insurance agent on the face literally before leaving!!

The Japan calamity in 2011

So many lost their houses, so many lost their families…An 8.9 earthquake followed by a tsunami!! So unexpected!  What those people must be going through? What are they going to do now?

This loss is not the one that can be repaired easily, it’s huge! Some how I am falling short of words to express because this is so unfortunate and fatal.

Natural calamities destroy everything and we humans can do nothing. The power of nature and god is bigger than everything in this universe. It can kill thousands of people in a minute!

God please give them enough strength to bear this situation that you have landed them in!
