The point of Indifference

Sometimes bending down is not a defeat. Taking an initiative to let go the differences is always difficult but after all for how long can one be on war, right? Its okay if you are not taken in the right way and have been misunderstood by someone, if they are not ready to see it from your point of view, what can you do? 

I always thought that a friendship should never require efforts. It should come straight from the heart. But i was wrong, it really takes efforts to maintain your friendship, especially if it is with a girl. 

Omg, I really get all irky about this at times. Why the fuck do we girls have to be so complicated each time? Is it necessary to hold on to an issue and keep whining about it for days and months? I know even I do it many times but now I am kinda pissed about this whole thing, why cant we just be cool about all the issues like boys? 

Its funny though, but for the first time i can relate myself to a guy whose girlfriend is getting all melodramatic and the poor thing can do nothing but listen to all the crap!

I really have decided to be indifferent about an ongoing issue because I am really bored and tired and sick of pondering about it! Now i just pray that I actually don't start  to mull over it again, after all, I am a girl and its is in our veins to do so!!! 

But earnestly, being indifferent is my plan...and frankly the only option left...lol !!

I believe in you

‘I believe in you’, such motivational words and unfortunately I have never received this statement. Nope, I am not cribbing about it. But how would one feel after getting these words? Maybe they will feel motivated or confident or maybe happy, as to someone looks up to them for something. Positive lines are always welcomed by everyone. But actually, how does it matter if anyone believes in you or not? I mean, isn’t it more important whether you believe in yourself or not?  If you have never believed in yourself then why will someone else? So it doesn’t make a difference you know! 

It’s only you who knows what you actually can do and not others, be it your best buddy or your family. It is well said that, you value things once you lose them, when people show you or say it that you know, you cannot do it or it’s not your cup of tea but you know that you really can, at that time you might miss that  ‘I believe in you’.

So what if no one believes in you, to hell with them! You should believe in yourself and only that is important. You know, I always feel that I am MY best friend and no one else because no one knows ME better than ME and my best friend NOW believes in me, it maybe a late realization but as I always say, better late than never…I love ME for this.

The blues

There always comes a point where one gets so tired of just trying and trying that the willingness to achieve the goal itself dies. I have read many motivational write-ups and articles where they say that, when you are facing your most difficult time, you are just 1 step away from the success.

I have a doubt here, who knows whether this is the most difficult time or there is yet more to come? A few months back, I thought this is it, what more can happen? Now, I know there is no limit to the bad events. They can keep occurring and recurring.

Quitting requires a lot of courage and fortunately or unfortunately, I lack that courage so quitting is not an option for me at least. Also for how long can you crib and be in disconsolation? You will have to get out of all these gloomy feelings now and do it; even if you don’t want to….so that your future doesn’t face this…self motivation is the only key here.

The people in Japan, who are facing such harsh situations, would be dejected more than anyone else right now. They have lost so much but still they wish to get it all back. They are fighting back and striving hard to live. If such a big blow is not stopping them then even we should take inspiration from them and fight back with life, to make it better.

Take a chill pill !!!

Human moods are so weird…we are happy, sad, angry, dejected, motivated, etc, etc, etc, on the same day! I don’t know about others but most of us, including me, go through a whole sequence of feelings in one single day. Its funny how much we think about smallest of the issues, isn’t it? Most of the points on which we waste our time & thoughts are not even worth it!

But then, some of us are just like that, we think about stuff a little more than others…its not wrong, there is no harm in thinking more but if it starts taking a toll on you, you better stop right there! It doesn’t make sense that you get distracted from your goal because of it. Start ignoring the people, things and thoughts that bother you so much in a negative way. No point wasting your feelings on such things. I have decided to be less attentive to such worthless issues and rather use my mind in other productive places as much as possible.

You have to stop being unfair to yourself, stop thinking and bothering about issues and people, even if they hold a great importance in your life  because if you think negative, you might end up losing a lot! Sometimes you just have to think less! It will be good for you most importantly and your friendships & relationships. So take a chill pill :)

How the fairer sex is still ill-treated in India...

A friend of mine just told me about an incident and trust me, it is a shameful blotch on India because it has happened here, okay here it goes, a lady lost her 22year old daughter in 2007. This daughter had an insurance policy, for which she used to regularly pay the premium. After she died, the lady that is her mother who is already in a state of grief, goes to the insurance company to collect the money. The company refuses to give the full claim and when she asks for a reason they say, ' SINCE SHE WAS A GIRL, SHE WAS A LIABILITY. HAD SHE BEEN A BOY, WE WOULD HAVE GIVEN YOU THE FULL CLAIM, SO NOW WE WONT GIVE YOU THE ENTIRE CLAIM'.

How sick and disgusting can someone get! I was shocked when i heard this. We all proudly say that India now has gender equality, well is this the"gender equality" that we have learnt in our books and that the world talks about? i don't think so! 

Now, is this how much an insurance company should or can fall to make profit? That female had paid the entire premium, this is unfair...and the sad thing is we can just talk about it and do nothing! the only good thing in this entire scene was when the mother smacked that insurance agent on the face literally before leaving!!

Changes are not always good...they dont have to be !

'Whatever happens, happens for the good', a quote in which i believe, though not invariably. Is everything for the good? I mean, c'mon, why will everything happen for the good? God never gives you happiness always, He also wants you to suffer so why do people want to find the good in it?

Maybe it is for your bad...so what, just accept it! There no bloody need to go in the search of the good for every event! It has happened and now you have to intake the changes and it needn't be necessary that the change is for the good. No matter what, at the end of the day, its all your karma. You must have done something wrong, that's why you are facing the problems now...you are meant to be in that problem so it is not for your good, it is because of your bad doings! 

We are just humans and when bad things happen to us, it is at that point that we realize how we were wrong previously. That's the way it goes, that's the way God teaches us.

Minting money - A tough task

Till the time you are actually not working for the money, you won’t realize how difficult it is to earn a single rupee. That is the reason our parents invariably teach us to be thrifty and do not agree to each and every monetary demand that we make.

We might not be spending carelessly always but the true worth of money can be realized once you actually start slogging your butt to earn a decent amount. But the moment you receive your hard earned money, it will give such a sense of freedom and independence that all your work will be proved worthwhile.

Of course not very far will be those moments when you will start disbursing YOUR money and that freedom feel will vanish but nonetheless the process will repeat itself.

Happy Holi !!

Holi is the festival of colors which is celebrated by all the Indians of any caste or creed. Every one celebrates holi forgetting all their issues. The magic of this festival turns every person into kids, who befriend everyone and anyone! Holi is my personal favorite festival, I love the fun, frolic, colors, laughter and everything about holi. 

I still remember how I used to celebrate it with my parents and our family friends, in my childhood. I used to get up at 6 in the morning to fill the balloons…lol.. I used to enjoy it to the core!!

Partying with FRIENDS

No matter how many issues and fights you have had with your BESTIES but when it comes to partying you cannot think of anyone else other than them.

Partying with your favorite people is one of the best things in the world. It makes you forget all your problems, it creates new memories, it is refreshing and it makes your friendship bond strong.

It’s been long that I have partied with my friends. I miss those moments, those dances and those shots!!
